Here is where I share about the number 1 curriculum out there. That is the way I feel about the curriculum we used for 20 plus years! My husband and I researched curriculum before our children were school age. We went to our first curriculum fair when our first child was only 2 years old. YES! we were overwhelmed by the choices! There are even more choices out there today. However, we were looking for the tried and proven curriculum with some proof it was good.  Yet, we also wanted that Biblical Worldview and character building woven throughout while providing the critical thinking skills to really retain the information for learning. We didn't care about accreditation (Books are not accredited, only institutions are.), popularity, or visual appeal. We were concerned about the quality education, and getting the help that we needed when we needed it. I know you're thinking that is a tall order. Yes, it was; but we found it!

A little more about me, I am veteran homeschooling mom of over 20 years. I was a HomeWorks by Precept Home School Consultant representing BJU Press, and a few other products since 2004. Our family has used the BJU Press Curriculum as our base for those years. All 4 of my children have been homeschooled from the beginning. My oldest graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN 2012. Currently, my second son is a pilot and graduated Mid TN State University in their Pro Pilot program. My 3rd child, a daughter, graduated with a Family and Consumer Science Degree, May 2016. She was awarded an internship over the summer of 2016. She plays the Harp and is an excellent seamstress. She is still very involved in sharing her sewing talents. She has been on two missions trips sharing her sewing talents with women in another country.  My youngest daughter is graduated with her Biology degree. Because of her dual enrollment classes and CLEP courses she has done in the past, she was able to graduate early. She was involved in the local 4-H and has taught dog obedience classes for the 4-H dog Club. In 2012, she was invited to the National Showcase with her Pug where they Ranked 3rd in the Nation in Rally Novice. She too is married and starting a family.

Academics have always been very important to my husband and me. We felt that BJU Press provided the high-quality academics we needed to keep us on track and allow us the time to explore each child's interest after academics. After taking care of my children's needs and my husband, I thoroughly enjoy talking with homeschooling moms about what has worked for our family through the years to accomplish a well-rounded education for our children.
