About Me:


Hi! I'm Abbie, a homeschooling mom with 4 children between the ages of 6 and 13 years old.  We are in our 10th year of using the BJU Press Homeschool video courses and my children love their video course teachers. Our family loves to camp, and we also love to do Escape Rooms together! In addition to homeschooling my 4 children, I am also the AWANA Sparks leader at our church, teach classes at our homeschool co-op, play taxi driver to my children for their various activities, and try to squeeze in sewing when I have the time!

We have used BJU Press Homeschool Video Courses since our oldest started K4 back in 2013.  Our second daughter started Kindergarten a few months after our 4th child was born, so we switched over to Online Video Courses for both students; it was a lifesaver!  I was able to care for our "two under 2" without sacrificing education! This year, we will be doing K5, 1st, 5th, and 7th grades using the Online Video Courses!
I love how easy it is for me to get them set up for the school day, and how everything I need is easily accessible from my computer - no piles of paper for me to sort through!  I have been able to use the curriculum to begin teaching my children to work independently, to take some responsibility for their learning, and to take pride in their work.  The fact that BJU Press  Homeschool curriculum addresses multiple learning styles has greatly helped both my daughters understand concepts and ideas, even in their weaker subjects. I am the product of 10 years of homeschooling, a pastor's daughter, and the oldest of 6 children.  While having 4 children doesn't allow me much free time, I do enjoy sewing, giving violin lessons, and teaching my AWANA Sparks class.
