About Me
My amazing husband and I have been married for 37 years. We have homeschooled all 5 of our children over 23 years. We didn't know much about homeschooling when we started but learned quickly that God can help you do what He calls us to do.
Welcome to my website! I am so glad you stopped by…
I found out what homeschooling was through helping a friend who used BJU Press Homeschool materials. Before we knew it, our children were school aged, and we started exploring the possibilities. As the Lord put homeschooling on our hearts, I felt so inept. However, as I looked at the curriculum and saw how the Teacher's Edition showed me exactly what to do, I was able to see that, with God's help, we could do this.
Homeschooling wasn’t always easy, and we were mindful of God’s grace for each day. Each child was so different and had different needs. Our goal was to give them the "tools" they needed to do whatever God called them to do. Hebrews 4:16 was our theme verse. Therefore, let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. So many people were such an encouragement to us along our homeschool journey. Now, my heart is to give back to homeschooling families and share how God helped a nobody like me homeschool, and He can do the same for you. BJU Press Homeschool was a huge part of our homeschooling journey. We love the Biblical perspective and solid foundation that our children received from this curriculum.
