About Me

    I am a wife to my husband, Guy, and a mom to my two children, Luke and Sara.  We just moved here to Kentucky from California and love all the nature that we are surrounded by. I was a public school math teacher before I had children and have always loved helping others.  After my children were born, I felt called to stay at home and be with them.  I honestly never thought about homeschooling, but as my children became toddlers, I realized that homeschooling was truly the best way.  I’ve been homeschooling them since kindergarten, and it now has been 11 years that I’ve been doing it. 

     Although I was in the education field, homeschooling curriculum was a whole new world for me, and all of the choices were so exciting and yet overwhelming.  After trying different curriculums, I discovered BJU Press Homeschool, and I just fell in love with it.  I love how the Bible is integrated into everything, the academic rigor, the well-balanced and thoroughness of each subject, and all the flexibility it offers.  I’m so blessed to be using this curriculum!
