About Me

I am a homeschool graduate from Houston, Texas! I grew up using BJU Press Homeschool from the time I was in Kindergarten until I graduated High School.  Beginning in my Junior year of high school, I also began taking duel credit classes at San Jacinto College.  After finishing my Associates degree in Mathematics, I transferred to Texas A&M University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics along with a State of Texas Teaching Certificate in 8th-12th grade Mathematics.   After 6 years of teaching Algebra at a public high school, I decided to stay home with my children!

I am now a homeschooling mom of two and we love using BJU Press Homeschool!  As a former BJU Press Homeschool student, I know that the curriculum is academically solid and thorough. As a mom, I love how the curriculum is Biblically based and centered on Christ. As a teacher, I appreciate how each subject is intertwined, relating your Science and Social Studies back to your Reading and Writing. 

This is my 5th year as a HomeWorks Consultant, and it's truly a joy to walk alongside other homeschooling families throughout the year.  As a fellow homeschool mom and a State of Texas certified teacher, I look forward to helping you make your homeschool journey a positive and memorable experience!
