BJU PRESS HOMESCHOOL HAS ADDITIONAL RESOURCES TO MEET YOUR FAMILY’S NEEDS.

BJU Press Homeschool understands that every homeschooling family is different and has different needs. Some families prefer to teach with parent-led materials, while others prefer using the distance learning courses. Many families also use both! Record keeping, test-taking, and scheduling differ by each family’s needs.

In order to help with flexibility and providing homeschooling parents with helpful resources, BJU Press Homeschool offers the Academy of Home Education as a help and to support to homeschooling families.

E-textbooks, JourneyForth Books, and Logos Science Kits are beneficial tools that complement BJU Press Homeschool materials and are also available through a HomeWorks by Precept Consultant.

ACADEMY OF HOME EDUCATION

Many families have found that enrolling their children in the Academy of Home Education makes record keeping and accountability simple for them. Enrollment is simple, and families who use the BJU Press Homeschool curriculum primarily are eligible to enroll in the Academy of Home Education. The AHE has of provided security, credibility, and support for homeschool families for over 26 years. Benefits include official report cards, transcripts, standardized testing, access to guidance counselors and an official graduation ceremony on the campus of Bob Jones University.

E-TEXTBOOKS

Many of the BJU Press textbooks are available as eTextbooks, which can be downloaded to e-readers, home computers or viewed online. An ideal option for the technologically-inclined and on-the-go homeschooler, eTextbooks provide both portability and convenience.

JOURNEYFORTH BOOKS

One of the favorite resources of homeschoolers is JourneyForth, a line of books for children and adults from BJU Press, which offers a wide array of chapter books, picture books, young adult novels, biographies, and non-fiction for all ages—all from a thoroughly Christian perspective. These books will help develop your child’s imagination and sense of adventure without compromising biblical values. These are books you can trust, and your family will enjoy for years to come.

LOGOS SCIENCE KITS

BJU Press Homeschool science courses are written with the perspective that children learn application of concepts best when they are actively learning with a hands-on approach. Science process skills include making observations, creating and proving theories, exploring, and more. Labs are important to discovery learning and building science process skills. Looking for lab materials can be time consuming and expensive. BJU Press Homeschool has worked alongside the Logos Science Inc. to provide kits at reasonable prices that coordinate perfectly with 7th-12th science courses.

Logos Science kits are written from a Creation viewpoint and their hands-on nature helps students better grasp scientific concepts, giving them the mastery and experience they need to succeed in college-level science. These kits are available exclusively through HomeWorks By Precept.

KITS ARE AVAILABLE FOR:
  • Life Science
  • Earth Science
  • Physical Science
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
